Srinagar, July 31 (Newswire): In occupied Kashmir, the killing of a young boy in custody of Indian troops sparked forceful anti-India demonstrations in Sopore town.
The troops arrested the youth identified as Nazim Rashid at Chankhan in Sopore, last night, and killed him in custody. People took to the streets against the killing. Hundreds of Central Reserve Police Force and police personnel carrying sophisticated weapons have been deployed in the town to prevent further protests.
Meanwhile, three Indian troopers were killed and two other personnel were critically injured in a fierce clash with Mujahideen at Furkian Gali in Kupwara district. Indian Army official while confirming the death of the troopers said that the operation was going on in the area.
